Story
To the detectives' questioning, Remi says, 'I just did it because I liked it.' But the detectives, harboring doubts about her words and attitude, begin staking out Remi. One morning, the detectives discover a videocassette in a garbage bag Remi threw out and take it home. And on that video were the many experiments Ryuji performed on Remi, along with a certain fact. Meanwhile, Hikaru Kodama, who had been used as material for Ryuji's experiments, had come to the point of giving herself enemas even in private. She too heads to the police station to undergo questioning...

Night Shift Nurses (夜勤病棟) is one of the few nurse hentai anime lines known by name outside Japan, and Karte.8 brings back Hikaru Kodama, the character the fourth chapter left unfinished.
The cover keeps her in a pink uniform and cap, knees drawn up in front of a chain-link fence, with cold daylight behind her. The back panel runs stills from interrogation rooms and ward corridors in the same washed-out palette, so the mood is set long before anything happens.
