Story
In a country that is not present-day Japan, where demons and fiends roam, the 'Land of Sealed Flames.' Here, to protect the people's peace, there was an anti-demon organization called 'Guren' that carried out intelligence activities and fought the demons. Rekka, a member of Guren, is attacked by demons during a mission and gets separated from Tsukikage, a comrade she looked up to as an older sister and had trained with since childhood. Rekka barely survives, but even Haruka—who nursed him back to health while he was unconscious—is carried off by demons. Cursing his own powerlessness, Rekka, together with his comrades Akane and Ayano, heads for the demons' lair to rescue the abducted girls.
Our take
A Japanese dark fantasy hentai anime from 2007, credited to ZONE and produced by Discovery, set in a country where oni roam and an exorcist agency answers them.
Color design carries the film. Indigo and violet fill the night, the heroine's hair reads nearly black, and only a large red ribbon, the vermilion of a blade and her red eyes stand out. Shadows fall hard, the cover silhouettes a moon and bare branches, and the samples push pale blue glow against deep black.
