Story
An era in which both the state and order are thrown into chaos. In such a ravaged city, a floating ancient castle led by the evil organization Dark Mother appears. Phantom Lady, who reigns at the top of Dark Mother, schemes to make the nano-metal skin enhancement system (the Angel System) her own. She orders the Dark Mother executives Chloe and Irena to lie in wait at the hospital where Ayame is admitted, in order to capture Angel Blade. But the one who appears is not Angel Blade — it is Ayame's partner, Emily! Emily tries to capture Chloe and Irena, but with Seiryu taken hostage she is captured herself instead! Afterward, Emily is subjected to every kind of violation by Chloe and Irena... And at the very moment their evil hands are about to reach out for Seiryu...! The goddess of justice, Angel Blade, appears!
Our take
Angel Blade 2 is a transforming-heroine fantasy, and the sleeve credits Masami Obari with original concept, direction and character design.
That pedigree shows. The armour is drawn like mecha: hard red and gold plating, a green visor, specular highlights cut at sharp angles, all set against a floating gothic castle in deep blue. Samples range from white hospital corridors to blue tile and a sunlit schoolyard in sailor uniforms, so the backgrounds carry real weight.
The second part continues the Dark Mother arc with Phantom Lady at its head. Action-driven hentai anime with an unusually strong line, best judged from the samples.
