Story
Angel Blade appears to rescue the captured Seiryu! Standing in her way are two of Dark Mother's top executives, Chloe and Irene! Forced into a disadvantageous 2-on-1 fight, Blade is driven into a desperate corner... and at that moment—another Angel Blade appears! The woman, calling herself Angel Ender, tells her that she is the prototype of Angel Blade. And with Angel Ender's help, Angel Blade turns to the counterattack! With the two Blades' counteroffensive, Chloe and Irene have no choice but to temporarily retreat. Angel Blade barely grasps victory. And then, an ominous shadow once again creeps up on the academy where peace has returned... Having gained new power through Nail Kaiser, the academy principal begins to target Seiryu! The captured Seiryu is subjected to the utmost violation by the transformed principal! Sensing this, Mona heads out to rescue Seiryu, but...!
Our take
Masami Obari directed and designed the characters for Angel Blade 3, and the cover states it outright. The transforming heroine cuts diagonally across the frame in a red and gold suit with a green horned visor, sword raised.
The art extends that signature: limbs stretched long, armor edges hit with hard highlights, near-primary reds, blues and yellows side by side, shadows cut as flat shapes. Sample frames favor held poses over in-between motion.
This entry closes the arc, with Blade outnumbered by Chloe and Irene of Dark Mother until a second Blade appears. Production is Studio G-1NEO with Frontline. Watch the samples for the line energy.
