Story
The stage is the abandoned city of Amidahara. Having taken a request from Miki to "find her missing brother," Anneröse and her companions are pursued by the Kowloon Society! Baldo, who seeks to open the gate to the demon world and become the dark king of Amidahara. Baldo's violation of the witches begins!
Our take
Witchbad, the fourth chapter of the Koutetsu no Majo Annerose line, is dark fantasy set in a ruined city. The package layers red spatter graphics over black and draws its pointed eared witches in violet and indigo.
The palette is cold and consistent. Hair runs navy and pale blue, eyes sit in a greenish yellow, and shadow shapes with only red eyes visible stand behind the cast to sell the demon world premise.
Based on the PC game by Lilith, directed by Tsukasa Kaidou and presented by ZIZ. The story advances chapter by chapter, so the samples are the fastest way to read its color design.
