Story
Tokyo Kingdom, a discarded island floating in Tokyo Bay. Asagi infiltrates in pursuit of those siding with evil who have fled there, only to find that Asuka—a "deserter Taimanin" who fled after suffering grave wounds that cost her limbs in battle—had already finished off the target! From her reunion with Asuka, the curtain is about to rise on a fierce battle for Asagi and her fellow Taimanin...! The most wicked scheme to corner the strongest Taimanin, Asagi!!! The proud and beautiful Taimanin are cast down into a miserable hell of ahegao ecstasy!!
Our take
Taimanin Asagi 3 opens with this first numbered chapter, dark fantasy kunoichi action from ZIZ. The cover works in red and black, with a crimson moon, drifting petals and Asagi at center in her purple bodysuit.
The colors run cold. Shadows fall in blue violet, highlights go vermilion, and skin shading stays hard. The orange haired and purple haired leads are staged against each other repeatedly, over the rough texture of a ruined island city.
Based on the PC game by Lilith, directed by Shinichi Kasahara with animation by Studio Eromatic. The samples are the quickest way to judge the tone before following the series.
