Story
Kanade Amakawa was bright, diligent, top of her class, neat, and pretty, and she had feelings for Hajime Nishida of the film-research club. The season was summer... The two harbored a faint hope that over this summer break they might close the distance and become lovers... or so it should have been. Yes... until that man, notorious for being a womanizer who preys on any girl he takes a liking to and dumps her once he's bored, set his sights on her. On the day, Nishida—who was supposed to have a movie date—was not at the meeting spot. Instead, there was that man! With no choice, Kanade decided to at least watch the movie together. Just as her heart was fluttering with excitement from the film, that man suddenly confessed to her. As Kanade, who has feelings for Nishida, hesitated over her reply, he grabbed her shoulder and forced a kiss on her. Is this the beginning of a nightmare, or...? Summer break ends, and Nishida is shocked at the sight of Kanade. What on earth happened!?

The cover runs high in saturation: a long black haired girl in a soaked white sundress, summer sky and sea behind her. Interior cuts flip to low lamplight and blue tinted shadow, turning the package line about white shifting to black into an actual colour plan. Large eye highlights keep every shift of expression readable.
