Story
Come to think of it. I'd finally managed to work my way up to a date, only for her to cancel at the last minute. It'd be a waste to cancel the restaurant I'd gone to the trouble of booking, so I casually said to Kasumi, "Well, how about we grab a meal together..." Wrinkled clothes, messy hair—Kasumi was unremarkable to a fault, but she showed up at the meeting spot looking like a completely different person. Overwhelmed, I let the drinks flow to keep my composure, and it turned into an unplanned overnight stay. Suddenly she clung to me, blushing and looking down as she said, "Because I've loved you... for so, so long, big brother." That's where we began.
Our take
A vanilla romance from the Vanilla label, adapted from a manga and advertised on the package as that author's first book-length animation. There is no elaborate premise: a dinner and one night are all it takes to change the distance between two people.
Cover art is soft, close to watercolor, led by a short dark bob, chestnut eyes and thin blush. Lines are fine and the hair is colored down to the tips. The animation follows the same route, with warm interior light and white bedding.
