Story
It is a land where monsters run rampant. Kessaria, a ruined city covered in darkness and misshapen lumps of flesh. The sister Rabian, ordered to investigate the land that fell to ruin in a single night, presses on alone through a forest where even the moonlight is dim, holding the mission given to her close in her heart. 'It's more dangerous than I expected... I have to proceed carefully...' In the dark forest spreading out to surround the village, there were monstrous things wandering hollowly about. Those very things were the monsters stalking their prey. Attacked by a monster and killed without any means to resist, Rabian—but when she suddenly comes to, she is looking down at herself standing there as if nothing had happened. As though she'd been having a nightmare until moments ago. In the space between hideous reality and dream, Rabian aims still deeper. Under the moonlit night, the roars of the monstrous things echo. Each time she wakes from the dream, there again is... hell!!
Our take
A dark fantasy monster title set in a ruined city and the forest around it. The package prints SiNiSistar in Latin script and marks this as episode one. The lead is Rabian, a sister sent to investigate, and the search is the spine of it.
Darkness is the real subject. Deep blue-green fills the woods, dotted with floating motes of light, leaving only the habit visible: white wimple and flower ornament, dark brown corset skirt, black garter stockings. Coiling green growth carries a heavy, viscous texture, so the quiet frames feel the most uneasy.
As a first episode it leans on world-building. Check the samples for the shadow work.
