Story
Ryota, who loves games, was enjoying the world of a trendy VR game. As usual, having exterminated some monsters and taken a breather, he's called out to from behind. There stood a girl with long black hair wearing a magician's costume. She says something strange, that she wants to have sex. Ryota denies there's any way that could be possible. But she keeps changing into one bold costume after another, trying to seduce Ryota. The ability to freely rewrite the game's program... her true identity is Sadako, the apparition who once caused an uproar in the world with a cursed video.
Our take
Urban legend horror set inside a VR game: a player is clearing monsters when a yokai walks in from outside the rules and starts rewriting the program, her costumes included. This is the fifth entry in the Toshi Densetsu series from Mary Jane.
The cover goes bright rather than grim, blue sky and open grass, a wide black witch hat, a yellow scarf, waist-length black hair, plus a second look in a striped pink tank top and denim. Red irises are the accent on both. The reverse is pink and violet pop design.
Each entry stands alone, so it works as a starting point. The samples show the costume-change gimmick and the character art.
