"Takashi-san... Takashi-san..." I was greeting a moment of bliss. "Takashi-san... you'll be late." Waking up in bed, before my eyes was the person I adored... Miwa-san, smiling. But Miwa-san is the wife of my older brother Satoshi—in other words, my sister-in-law. My name is Takashi Kagura. After our parents died, my brother, who'd made it onto the elite track at a top trading company, took care of me. Thanks to my brother I can attend school and live normally, but rather than feeling grateful to him, I came to be tormented daily by a different emotion. Jealousy... In looks, studies, sports—in every respect my brother was superior to me... What tormented me most was the existence of my sister-in-law Miwa-san. Living in a different wing of the same apartment complex, she was the woman I adored, who always greeted me with a smile in the morning—yet even that Miwa-san, my brother stole away...
Our take
The jacket does the heavy lifting here: a bride in a white gown and veil, chains laid across her shoulders, set against deep crimson with the red title beside her. Festive costume and cold metal share one frame.
The episode footage is far brighter. Breakfast tables, a sunlit school route, uniforms and small talk are all drawn with care, in flat 4:3 cel coloring with small, hard eye highlights. Emotion is carried by eyebrows and mouth alone.
Adapted from a Selen adult game for the Vanilla Series, this first half is mostly setup for the conclusion. If retro cel texture appeals to you, the samples show it plainly.
