Story
A giant magic circle floats in the sky, blinking unnaturally. Within that magic circle, Gilliola, who bears a grudge against humans, offers her body to Astaroth to swear her loyalty. Seeing Gilliola's anguished expression as she wants to flee the scene, Miska too feels responsible and decides to offer her own body. Himika and Oboro had been seen by Astaroth frolicking at a hot spring inn. Upon learning of his presence, the two soothe the thing standing rigid and erect. Returning to the room, Himika in a school swimsuit and Oboro in a gym outfit with bloomers change into uniforms and press Astaroth about a man's desires. To the two who came again and again, there was Astaroth, promising to show them a new world.
Our take
Demonion Gaiden Kouhen is an OVA tied to the dark fantasy PC game Demonion, released under the White Bear label, a game origin the package states plainly.
The palette is the point. Interiors sit in deep reds and near black, lit only by a fireplace and candles, and the two cover figures, one dark-haired with a red ribbon, one silver-haired in long black gloves, are told apart by hair color alone. Floral fabric and woven carpet are drawn in, while the samples move to violet cave light, a school swimsuit, and gym wear, brightness marking each scene.
