Story
The Genroku era. Within the Ooku of Edo Castle, there was another 'Kira Kozuke-no-suke.' His name: 'Kira Kounosuke.' His trade is serving as caretaker and disciplinarian for the newly-arrived ladies-in-waiting. Skillfully exploiting the swirling passions of women with every trick in the book, this is the lecherous life diary of Kira, running rampant with the Ooku as his stage. "This is my domain to guard -- the 'corridor of waiting' where I wait for women, you might say."
Our take
The opening chapter of a period hentai anime set in the Ooku of Edo castle. The cover stages a woman in a crimson patterned robe in a corridor of vermilion and gold, with a shaven-headed man placed behind her as a silhouette beside the paper screens.
Kimono patterns are drawn in full rather than simplified, and hairpins get the same care. Light through the screens is pushed to gold, while night scenes drop to blue-grey, so day and night carry different color temperatures.
This is the first act, leading into the second chapter of the same series from White Bear. Look at the samples for the period color and costume detail.
