Story
The protagonist Kuya was taken in as an adopted child by the prestigious Hiiragi family when he was young. Living a weak, pampered life spoiled by his older sisters, he was sent off to distant relatives to have his spirit toughened up. And about ten years later. Kuya, having grown up splendidly, returns once again to the Hiiragi family. Even though he's an adopted younger brother, he's the only man, and a life surrounded by his six older sisters begins. *Bonus footage, bonus images, and the like are not included.
Our take
An adaptation of the Candy Soft PC game Ane Chanto Shiyou Yo, this first episode stands all six Hiiragi women up at once; the back cover lists them from Reiko to Miu.
Late-2000s cel shading, thin outlines, and a cast separated by palette: purple twintails, long blonde hair, a pale blue bob in traditional dress. Expressions run on eyelid position and eyebrow angle alone.
Original work from Interheart, direction by Kanazawa Katsumasa, character design by Iijima Hiroya, animation by studio9MAiami. The samples show how much of the game art survived the move into motion.
