Our take
Tentacle action inside a school fantasy frame: this is the first volume of Raikou Shinki Aegis Magia, from the PANDRA saga by original creator Elect Sawaru. The back cover states the pitch plainly, maidens against tentacle monsters.
Contrast carries the design. Fumika has tanned skin and gold ornaments, Artemis a blue costume with pale blue hair, both set against an unlit cavern where thick purple curves cross the frame and only wet highlights catch light.
Split into upper and lower volumes, this is the first half, with a futanari Medusa opposing them. The samples show how strongly the coloring reads against dark backgrounds.
