The "Genmukan" mansion, engulfed in flames by a tragedy of love and hatred. Kido, the detective involved in it, was living a carefree life together with Nozomi, the surviving maid, and Mei, the president of his agency. Kido and Nozomi, who had grown rapidly closer through the tragedy, had been sharing their bodies as they both desired, but when Mei can no longer suppress her feelings for Kido and confesses them, the story begins to move once more... Finally animated as the official sequel to the hugely popular game "Shinshou Genmukan" (original illustration: Tony)!
Our take
An OVA epilogue to the PC game Shinshou Genmukan, reissued as an AI upscaled remaster, with original illustration credited to Tony.
The maid Nozomi Watase holds the cover in a white headdress and a red leather collar, drawn with the large eyes and thin brows of Tony's style against muted brown. The remaster shows in the smoothness of the outlines, the older cel painting kept clean rather than sharpened into noise. Samples stay in a few rooms, shadow marking the hour.
Set three months after the mansion burned, it follows a trio: the detective, the maid and the head of the office. The samples answer the picture quality question first.
