Our take
Almost nothing happens on the real-world layer, and that is the design. Anri goes drinking with the man she likes, the evening ends with nothing settled, and everything after she gets home belongs to her imagination. Reality is only the frame around it.
Character design and animation direction are by Onsen Manju. Short black hair and a red blouse keep the palette restrained, and the piece runs mostly on close-ups: brows, mouth, the angle of lowered lashes carry each step as the daydream escalates. Background detail is deliberately thinned out.
