Story

Our take
A monster girl entry that drops a Japanese tanuki shapeshifter into a winter setting: a ski resort, a route gone wrong, and a cave where a stranger appears.
The visual logic is contrast. The cover runs high saturation on a blonde twin-tailed character in a red skirt and blue plaid against a dark ground, while the samples flip to snow white and cave black with a blue ski suit as the only accent. The sharp-tongued attitude is drawn straight into the face.
Within a long-running label, this is the seasonal variation, closer to folklore than to its usual register. The samples show how far the palette swings.
