Story
The protagonist, Ryut, is a rookie knight who has just graduated from the "Royal Knight School," an elite school that trains knights. His grades while enrolled were dead last and his peers mock him, but he himself doesn't care. Ryut, whose grades were poor, is assigned—practically a demotion—to Boan, the poorest land in the country, right after graduation. There he encounters a rumor that "demons have survived and are causing trouble," along with suspicious incidents...
Our take
A sword-and-sorcery entry in the Kyonyu Fantasy line, opening with a rookie knight posted to the poorest land in the kingdom and running into rumors of surviving demons. The original title adds a Bakunyu no Susume chapter subtitle.
The cover sets a woman with blue-violet long hair and pointed ears against a dark green background. Skin runs warm and yellow-tinted, outlines are thick, and gloss is applied heavily. The samples pair sunlit grassland with dim stone interiors.
