Story

Our take
Magical girl meets tentacle in the third and final volume of the Elena series, Mahou Shoujo Elena Vol.03, from Valkyria. The package announces the last battle, with a gold-edged logo cutting across the center.
Color does the work here: fluorescent pink into magenta, almost no empty space left in frame. Costumes stay white and rose, a cyan bob plays against orange hair, and the setting climbs from a city street out to space and the moon. This is early-2010s digital coloring that pushes saturation rather than detail.
As a closing volume it carries the weight of the two before it. The samples show the intensity of that palette.
