Story
[Curiosity of a Sheltered Girl] Yurako Izumi transferred to the city. To her, who embodied the countryside's freshness and simple nature, Moriyama made the first confession of love in his life and succeeded. Coming from a locally prominent, distinguished family where everyone knew of her, her chastity had been guarded, but with no boyfriend she had fallen into sexual frustration. Once the two started dating, every day their dates were dates in name only, becoming a relationship of merely satisfying each other's sexual desires. [The Lesson an Honor Student Needs] Miei Hinamachi is a super honor student raised in a hothouse, attending an elite young ladies' school in the city. At the young ladies' school, she's repressed by everyone, and even if she wants to have sex there are no boys; compensated dating and being picked up carry danger and could scar her future depending on the case—so she decides to hire a private tutor. She asks (orders) the teacher to act as her boyfriend during tutoring hours. They do thorough prep and review, spending their time on sex education that is study in name only.
Our take
The third OVA in the Houkago no Yuutousei series from Queen Bee, adapted from the manga by Sasamori Tomoe as credited on the sleeve. A schoolgirl story built around private tutoring.
The art runs on contrast: heavy blue-black hair, pale skin, a navy sailor collar, green tatami and white bedding. The palette is narrow, gloss is added only through highlights, and nearly all the acting sits in the eyes, from a calm downturned gaze to a flushed glance away.
Two chapters from the original are included, Shinso no Koukishin and Yuutousei ni Hitsuyou na Jugyou. Watch the samples for how far the expressions are drawn.
