This is a tale of hot summer days. My... Hazuki Natsuhara and that person's, melting-together... countryside life. While my parents were away on an overseas trip, that person, my older cousin, was to house-sit with me. Meeting him for the first time in years, he'd become a completely grown-up man, yet he was bashful about our reunion while also delighted... Wanting to see both what had changed and what hadn't since long ago, I ended up romping around like a little kid. But I'm not a little kid anymore. The feelings I'd kept building up all the while I couldn't meet him overflowed at our long-awaited reunion... he accidentally saw, but maybe this is actually a chance? '...Yeah, it's okay.' This is my and that person's sexual, countryside life. The cicadas' cry seeping into the tan lines. The fleeting cries of a hip-thrusting childhood friend. Both voices dissolve into the midsummer blue sky.
Our take
Episode one of a summer countryside series, subtitled around tan lines and a school swimsuit, and that subtitle is the visual theme rather than a label.
The cover is washed in aqua and blue-green reflected light, tiled bathroom walls behind wet black hair and blue eyes. The same girl appears twice, in a yellow tank top and in a navy school swimsuit, so the contrast between pale tan lines and darker skin is the subject. Highlights are thick, shadows soft, shading tuned to skin texture.
