Story
The price of plunging into depravity is throwing nearby ties into disarray... The right hand that bares one breast trembling with sorrow sinks into the soft flesh and returns to the everyday... The depravity bouncing atop the glass table wrings out and slurps down the cloudy white that buries it completely... A fleeting bashfulness colors the casual everyday... and the thunderstorm they encounter moistens the resolve that closes in upon the bridge... The nearby ties being loosened stage a sudden encounter... and in the advertisement met at the end of drowning, newly spreading ripples had begun to waver...
Our take
Rain and night set the entire palette of Furifure 2. Sumire has near-black purple hair in low tails, standing in grey-blue gloom while droplets speckle the background.
Line weight stays thin and shadows fall in large flat masses, so skin highlights supply the only brightness. Interiors shift colour temperature scene by scene, and expression work stays economical.
As the second volume of the Furifure line, it rewards viewing alongside the first. The sample gallery is the quickest way to test that rainy tone.
