Story
The big brother of the Onami household lives together with his four little sisters: Sora, Akane, Kohaku, and Sumi. Because he suffered from severe asthma as a small child, 'sleeping together with one of his sisters' has become a daily routine. Then one day, his parents, who are also researchers, order him to conduct a demonstration experiment on 'immunity improvement through hugging.' Big brother is flustered, but tries hugging Sora as practice. As Sora gently rests her weight against him, the softness and warmth of her body come through, and big brother's heart races more than he'd expected.
Our take
A Mary Jane short built on one situation: hugging and sleeping side by side. The package prints that phrase large, so proximity and body heat are the subject, not plot.
Everything is keyed to pale pink and cream, lit so evenly that heavy shadows never land. On the cover Sora looks back with a mug in both hands, wearing an off-shoulder knit over dark knee socks, the slack fabric carefully drawn against skin. Green-tinged eyes and flushed cheeks carry the warmth.
Each heroine of the Onami household gets her own volume, and this one is Sora. Check the samples for the soft line work and the timing of the expressions.
