Story
'We'll become real lovers after the tournament is over.' Akane Nanao, the baseball club's manager, was deeply in love with team member Shoya Katase, and the feeling was mutual. But the club's rule forbidding romance forced the two to hold back. Then one day, the notoriously sexually harassing coach 'Go Higashi' learns of their relationship. To protect the starting position Shoya had desperately clawed his way to, Akane submits to the 'guidance' Higashi proposes... *No secondary audio track is included. *No bonus footage is included.
Our take
Colour carries this one. Named for akane, the red of a sunset, the Lune Pictures OVA sinks its baseball-club setting into a single orange dusk, floorboards and skin alike.
The design leans on contrast: auburn hair against pale blue eyes, a soft pink hoodie, rim light tracing each outline. Feeling is conveyed by small shifts in the eyebrows rather than by raised voices.
Adapted from a Shinjugai circle comic and issued on the Akaneiro label, this first part is built to continue. The samples read the colour design far better than any plot summary can.
