Hayami Takuro, who has transferred into St. Arcadia Academy, senses paradise ahead. The dormitory he arrives at is full of girls, and among them he falls in love at first sight with the beautiful dorm head, Otokawa Saori. Buoyed by the girls' uninhibited welcome, Hayami's hopes for school life swell. But those hopes are fragile, and soon shattered. The beautiful, wicked women who rule the academy, the Morimoto sisters, have noticed the hidden 'sexual power' concealed within the seemingly ordinary Hayami, and are scheming to make it their own. Body and soul, Hayami is toyed with by the younger sister, Leona, and her pawns in the social club. At an academy that is a paradise in name only, a struggle of love and sex begins.
Our take
DISCIPLINE opens at Saint Arcadia Academy, and the jacket calls it a struggle of love and sex. It is an early 2000s hentai anime OVA, an ensemble piece moving between dormitory and classroom.
The art is pure cel era. The cover sets a blonde woman with a long braid and a blue haired woman in thigh boots against a blackboard covered in equations. Skin is a cream leaning warm tone, shadows land in few flat steps, and one sample holds close on a magenta haired woman whose fine outlines date the work precisely.
As a prologue it lines up who controls the academy and who does not. The samples are the quickest way to judge the period art.
