The summer of her third year of high school... At the invitation of her friend Keiko, the protagonist Kumi ends up entering a beauty pageant. From there, her slightly naughty idol story began. Her encounter with the big-shot producer Omuro Tetsuya, the bullying from her rival Hasegawa Aya, the forbidden relationship with the beautiful manager Minami, the invitation from the boss of the entertainment world, Suzuki Rentaro, and the SM golden-shower play with the paparazzo Katagiri Madoka. And what is the past hidden within her super-lewd second personality? Will Kumi overcome numerous hardships and realize her dream of becoming a top idol? A 120-minute comic delivered with powerful original artwork by Master Fuji B-88 and plenty of obscene dirty talk from (secret) voice actresses.
Our take
Not an animated OVA but a comic DVD, exactly as the package states: painted stills carried by voice. It follows Kumi from a beauty contest into the entertainment industry, gathered here as the complete version.
The art is hand-painted 1990s work. Peach and rose watercolor washes, grainy colored-pencil shading, thick outlines, heavy lashes and period eye highlights. Because the frames hold still, each single drawing has to carry its scene.
