Story
Hina Sakurai searches for the whereabouts of her missing older brother. She's an ordinary girl you might find anywhere, but she has another face. A magical girl of justice who fights the evil monster organization, the Vist Army, with holy power. Yes, she is none other than the Holy Jewel Crystal, Saint Lime! "It's alright. As long as I have this power entrusted to me by my big brother!" The magical girl Saint Cherry — her brother, and Hina's object of admiration. She had already fallen to the hands of the Vist Army monster Devil Beetle and become an evil magical girl. To take back her beloved brother and the greatest heroine, Saint Cherry, Lime turns her sorrow into anger and rises up as a new magical girl. But at the end of that battle, what Lime comes to see is her own true wish and true nature...?! To take back her sister (brother?), the TS magical girl Saint Cherry who has been dyed with evil, the Holy Jewel Crystal Saint Lime now stands against a monstrous evil!
Our take
Fantasy transforming-heroine anime, episode 1, from PoROre. The two leads are separated by hair color, a mint bob and pink twintails, with matching gold-trimmed costumes, white gloves and long boots against deep crimson drapery. The subtitle adds a streaming gimmick to a classic henshin setup.
Colors are strong and used for identification. The samples run through night exteriors and dim rooms lit in teal and violet, alternating hero poses with downcast looks so the form itself is bent on screen.
Marked as the first episode, it is built to continue. Check the samples for costume detail and the placement of light.
