Story
To protect her relationship with Mamoru, Noa is made to do the president's bidding and provide service. While devotedly caring for Mamoru in front of him, she carries on idol activities as a plaything for various sponsors... But then Noa takes the bold step of flatly refusing such a situation. I don't mind quitting—I don't want to do this anymore! Despite Noa's desperate action... she learns the fact that Mamoru's gaze still follows Rio, and falls into despair. The only way is to become a top idol and prove them all wrong. At the president's words, Noa's eyes glint darkly...
Our take
An idol story in which the Blue of the title is the colour design itself. Rather than the bright stage side of the business, the art keeps returning to interiors at night.
The cover builds a bedroom from indigo walls and blue sheets, and only blonde hair, a cherry-blossom clip and an oversized grey shirt bring warmth. Eyes carry large highlights and lashes are a few thin strokes. A red-haired second girl appears in the samples, splitting the cast into blue against red.
A volume number one is printed on the sleeve, marking a continuing story around Noa, Mamoru and Rio. Check the sample stills for the standard of the art.
