Story
One day, Eguchi is handed a single videotape by a friend. He's asked to check its contents. On its spine is written 'You'll die if you watch. Don't watch! Absolutely do not watch.' When he plays the video, a screen showing a long-haired woman standing in some alley is displayed. Every time noise runs across the screen, she approaches closer to the screen as if walking toward this side. When her face, hidden behind her bangs, is displayed filling the entire screen, the footage ends there and the screen goes dark. But a hand appears from the screen, and it slowly came out toward this side...
Our take
A cursed videotape opens the second entry in this urban legend hentai anime series. The package promises that what waits behind the screen will come through, and a hand reaching out of a CRT runs across front and back.
Outlines are on the thick side, and the color separates ghost from living, cool blue skin against warm tones. A navy sailor collar, a red scarf and red eyes hold the frame in dark rooms, while small chibi cutaways keep the tone light. Sample scenes sit in a dim tatami room lit only by the screen.
