Story
The protagonist, having moved to snow country to help clear snow at his grandparents' house. There he meets a special girl. Her name is Koharu Hoshikawa, a girl in the year below him. Sociable, bright, energetic, and richly expressive of emotion, the protagonist is drawn to her. On Valentine's night, which they spend just the two of them, Koharu, who is good at making sweets, had prepared a certain surprise present for the protagonist.
Our take
Amakano: Koharu Hoshikawa is a vanilla hentai anime set in snow country, adapted from the Azarashi Soft romance game. The cover shows Koharu in a knit cap trimmed with a rose, holding a heart-shaped chocolate.
The linework is thin and even, and the coloring stays bright with little hard shadow. Red and green winter tones carry snowflake motifs, and the backgrounds render a tatami room with paper screens. Her long wavy hair is shaded to the tips, and the blush on her cheeks does most of the work.
